NEXT-GEN DATA MODELLING

Break free of the constraints
of traditional models.

IntroducING NEBULA.

a next-genERATION modelling PLATFORM TO understand & navigate future uncertainty.

DESIGNED FROM THE GROUND-UP TO HELP USERS ENGAGE WITH THE COMPLEXITIES OF THE NET ZERO ENERGY TRANSITION.

explore rich, multi-dimensional option spaces. develop robust strategies for the future.

EXPLORE AND ANALYSE

Nebula is a powerful modelling tool that allows the client to both discover portfolios that meet multiple criteria, and subject selected portfolios to further vulnerability analysis. It offers an unparalleled suite ofscenario generation techniques, removing the need for cumbersome manual creation.

As a result, users are empowered to engage with the systemic realities of high-dimensional environments like the Net Zero transition - and shape robust strategies in response.

PLAN AND EVALUATE

Where traditional modelling tools conceal uncertainty within consolidative approaches, every single assumption and method within Nebula can be viewed and modified, allowing context-specific analysis at a number of scales.

As a result, Nebula offers clients an unmatched opportunity to assess both technical and value-based components of strategic portfolio choices, enabling nuanced consideration of different tradeoffs in the development of robust strategic planning and investment decisions.

welcome EVERYBODY

Nebula is an easy-to-use platform, accessed via a range of affordable subscription levels, starting with a free version open to anyone, anywhere.

Offering levels of insight normally only available to governments and multinationals, Nebula puts this power in the hands of entrepreneurs, SMEs and societal advocates at a fraction of the cost.

In doing so, we hope to help decentralise, democratise and accelerate key pathways across the net zero transition.

Nebula is currently at beta stage and invite-only. Please get in touch to register your interest in the platform.

Current Projects

  • International energy agency

A collaborative project with the IEA to investigate the relative energy efficiencies, cost, deployment scales and environmental impact of a range of net zero energy technologies, to develop robust and pragmatic approaches that balance ambitious climate targets and practical implementation approaches.

  • UK Climate Change Committee

Participating in consultation for the UK’s Committee on Climate Change 7th Carbon Budget, using the 6th Carbon Budget as a case study to highlight the fragility of conventional modelling approaches in shaping national climate policy, and the potential to address this via exploratory approaches such as Robust Decision Analysis.

  • Green Hydrogen Portfolio

Using Real Options (RO) analysis to explore the potential roles of Green Hydrogen as a means to decarbonise energy systems globally, with a particular focus on assessing the value of projects under conditions of deep uncertainty.
